The Science Museum was founded in 1857 by Bennett Woodcroft and was originally part of the South Kensington Museum, but separated and became the Science Museum in 1909.

The museum houses many important historical pieces including Stephenson's Rocket, Babbage's Difference Engine and the Apollo 10 Space Capsule.

There are many galleries inside the Science Museum which contain many interactive displays, allowing people of all ages to understand science in a hands on way
